Iowans do their bit to maintain our COVID-19 status

Hello friends ANIME HD, on this occasion the admin wants to share an article entitled Iowans do their bit to maintain our COVID-19 status, we have made good, quality and useful articles for you to read and take information in. hopefully the post content is about which we write you can understand. Alright, happy reading.

All sorts of newsy tidbits are out there this morning as Iowans do their part to maintain the Hawkeye State's status as the national leader (and a leader worldwide, too) in per capita COVID-19 infection rates.

Iowa State University, for example, has decided to allow 25,000 fans to gather at Jack Trice Stadium (with a capacity of 60,000) on Sept. 12 for a game between the Cyclones and Louisiana. I believe this will be the largest state-sanctioned gathering to date during which Iowans will have opportunities to share the virus with one another.

Interesting revelations in The Des Moines Register and elsewhere about recent recommendations by the White House Coronavirus Task Force that have been ignored by our governor, Kim Reynolds. You may read that story here.

The task force has recommended among other things a broad-based masking mandate and a far broader menu of restrictions on bars, eating establishments and public gatherings, for example, all stoutly resisted by the governor.

Some would argue that Ms. Reynolds is doing her best to live up to the motto printed on the front of the t-shirt here, designed and sold by RAYGUN.

And a little news even closer to home, where Lucas County Health Center waited until Aug. 24, to impose a masking mandate on those who enter the building.

Down in Wayne County, the second week of the Victory Gospel Crusade, being conducted in a tent along Highway 2 between Corydon and Promise City, was cancelled abruptly after someone who had attended for three nights running tested positive.

But the big tent's back now --- in Russell --- and meetings are in progress again. This time around, however, Facebook announcements allow that, "If you would like to social distance and wear a mask, that's certainly ok."
